Happy Monday sweet friends!
I wanted to start out the week (after the craziness with 3 full weeks of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale) with some fun photos that we shot over the weekend in Beverly Hills and my favorite denim jacket for transitioning into Fall!
When I first saw this jacket it immediately reminded me of the jeans I wore in middle school and high school from Abercrombie with the rhinestones and beads on the pockets of jeans…please tell me you remember those and had a pair! I had a girlfriend in high school that had the perfect pair with light gold beads and I always loved them and wanted a pair of mine own! Fast forward years later and I finally have my rhinestone and beaded denim (jacket)!
Pearls and rhinetones and studs are huge for Fall! You’re going to see them on shoes, bags and clothing, so get ready to shine bright like a diamond! Ok not really, but you might have to add a few things to your closet with some sparkle before the holidays come around!
About a year and a half maybe two years ago, I didn’t own denim jacket…can you believe it? I hated the way they looked on me! I found my first one that is still my very favorite to this day from Banana Republic. It has a stretchier fabric (so comfy in any denim jacket)–and is a darker wash which I think looks better in the Fall.
This year, the more oversized and distressed denim jackets are on trend and at first…I didn’t like them…and now its all I want to buy! Anyone else take a little time to try out a new trend? My two distressed denim jackets I have, I made sure to size down because I wanted them to fit more snug (comfortably) and not massively oversized.
I love having different washes of denim jackets in my closet because it totally depends on what you are wearing and what season it is, to match your denim jacket to that occasion or season. A denim jacket also pulls together an outfit so seamlessly! You can wear them with dresses, or shorts or skirts and even denim on denim! Your options are endless!
I made sure to round up my favorites for you below!
